"Like text, images must be encoded and decoded in order to be understood. In this process there is an implicit collaboration between the author and the viewer. My work challenges the hard lines drawn between objectivity and subjectivity, prompting an acknowledgement of intersubjectivity. It cuts straight to the core of notions of truth by pointing to the fact that finding meaning is an interactive creative act."
