But what would that be? A combination of the intense color of 2005 and the sculptural form of 2007?<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.johnpaulcaponigro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Antarctica_2009-LXV4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10626\" title=\"Antarctica_2009-LXV\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johnpaulcaponigro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/Antarctica_2009-LXV4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"142\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.johnpaulcaponigro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/AntarcticaLIV_2007_51.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10627\" title=\"AntarcticaLIV_2007_5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.johnpaulcaponigro.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/AntarcticaLIV_2007_51.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"425\" height=\"462\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nEach voyage, I\u2019ve hoped for at least one calm passage across The Drake. They have a phrase to describe this body of water &#8211;\u00a0 \u201clake or shake\u201d. I\u2019ve only seen the \u201clake\u201d in the colorlful photographs of Eliot Porter and I\u2019d love to see it with my own eyes and make my own photographs.
