February, 2013
Join us on this incredible, once in a lifetime Antarctica digital photography workshop.
Led by world renowned photographers - John Paul Caponigro and Seth Resnick with a dream team of guest instructors.
Previous instructors have included Andy Biggs, Eric Meola, Arthur Meyerson, Stephen Johnson, Michael Reichmann, and Jeff Schewe.
The primary focus of every passenger on the cruise is photographic. This gives us maximum flexibility with the crew for making each location and time of arrival optimal for photography. We'll be ready to shoot 24 hours a day and we'll work closely with the crew to shoot in the best light at the most beautiful places.
In 2013 we're going to a less-visited locations past the South Shetland Islands, through the Gulf of Erebus and Terror, and into the Weddell Sea as far south as Snow Hill Island, where sea ice is extensive and icebergs are huge. Tabular icebergs can be the size of cities or even countries. We're going late in the season when the ice is most open and penguin chicks will have hatched.
Next, we'll visit the highlights of the Antarctic Penninsula – Deception Island (sailing into an active volcano), Paradise Bay (gliding in its mirror-like waters), Neko Harbor (walking above a calving glacier), Lemaire Channel (sailing through mountain peaks at sunset), Plenneau Bay (exploring an iceberg graveyard) and many more.
There will be extensive lectures, reviews, and demonstrations.
We find ways to improve our Antarctica experiences with every voyage and are dedicated to making this a once in a lifetime experience with phenomenal locations and instruction.
