I’m exhibiting my first metal prints!
My metal prints are produced by Blazing Editions with Epson dye-sublimation technology on ChromaLuxe aluminum panels at very large scales in very limited editions. These materials offer a unique ability to hold and reflect light at expanded scales that increase their impact even further. Viewer’s early responses have been exciting!
You can see my new metal prints at two separate events.
I’ll be speaking at both events.

Come have an adventure in art! Be among the first to see new works by artist John Paul Caponigro’s series Alignment, featuring petroglyphs and stone alignments. Inspired by early childhood and continuing encounters with the sacred arts of “primitive” or “primal” cultures these images make visible the inner spirit of extraordinary places around the world as diverse as Antarctica, Iceland, and Japan. Environmental art in virtual space, these altered images are land art produced without altering the land. The artist’s visionary landscapes drawn from and for the mind’s eye heighten our physical, emotional and spiritual connections to nature. He has said, “The process of creating these images is like dreaming while I’m awake.” Now you’re invited to come dream together with the artist in this unique exhibit.
This is a rare opportunity to see the inner workings of an artist at work in his private studio. Many of the items on display have never been seen before; some are not made public, except during this event.
In addition to the state-of-the art digital photographs, also on display are a wide variety of related studies some drawn, some painted, and some computer rendered.
A second exhibit is also on display featuring the artist’s works made in Maine, his home for over 28 years.

John Paul Caponigro’s Exhibit | Open Studio | New Work 2015 is open to the public for one weekend only – August 1st and 2nd from 10 am to 5 pm with gallery talks by the artist at 2 pm. (Afterward, visits by appointment are available.)

Be among the first to see new works from artist John Paul Caponigro’s classic series Alignment, where lines drawn into natural environments draw the viewer into closer alignment with nature. Ranging from petroglyphs to walking paths, a variety of pan-cultural interactions with land are celebrated. Made on five continents – Europe, North America, South America, Africa, and Antarctica – they offer a truly global perspective. Environmental art in virtual space, these altered images are land art produced without altering the land. The artist’s visionary landscapes drawn from and for the mind’s eye heighten our physical, emotional and spiritual connections to nature.

Also on display are a wide variety of related studies including drawings, paintings, iPhone sketches, appropriated satellite imagery, time-lapse videos and more.

This is a rare opportunity to view the artist’s new work presented in his own private studio / gallery. The Exhibit
February 27 – May 10, 2015
The Southeast Museum Of Photography
Daytona, Florida
In 2008, the Southeast Museum of Photography was one of 183 institutions designated to receive a selection of Warhol’s photographs through the Andy Warhol Photographic Legacy Program in honor of the Warhol Foundation’s 20th anniversary. In the spring of 2014, an additional donation of nine photo screen-prints were donated through this program. Through highlights from both donations, this exhibition showcases Warhol’s Polaroids, black-and-white prints, and photo silk-screens to provide a glimpse into the inner workings of this iconic figure in 20th century American art and his complicated relationship with the medium of photography.
The Opening

The result of an eight-year worldwide survey, the exhibition draws together more than 200 spectacular black-and-white photographs of wildlife, landscapes, seascapes, and indigenous peoples—raising public awareness about the pressing issues of environment and climate change.
